# ClickUp

> Export issues TesterArmy finds as ClickUp tasks with one project-wide connection.

Turn issues from your project's Issues tab into ClickUp tasks. Each task carries the issue's description and a link back to the TesterArmy issue, plus the expected vs actual behavior, reproduction steps, severity-mapped priority, and screenshot link when the issue has them.

## How the connection works

ClickUp connects once per project: a teammate authorizes TesterArmy for your ClickUp Workspace and every project member can export tasks from then on, no individual sign-in required. TesterArmy never stores ClickUp credentials - the OAuth connection is managed by our auth provider. ClickUp OAuth has no permission scopes; you pick which Workspaces to authorize on ClickUp's consent screen.

ClickUp has no app identity for this kind of connection, so tasks are created through the account that connected ClickUp; each task names the teammate who exported it in the description. The project stores one setting: the default List new tasks are created in, shown with its Space and Folder.

If you authorized several Workspaces, the first one is used. Connecting a different Workspace means authorizing again with only that Workspace selected; a Workspace picker is planned.

## Setup

1. Go to **Integrations → ClickUp** and click **Connect ClickUp**.
2. Approve TesterArmy for your ClickUp Workspace. Anyone on the project can do this; the connection is shared.
3. Back in TesterArmy, pick the **Space** and the **List** tasks should be created in and save it. The List is shared by the whole project, so it only needs to be set once.

## Creating tasks

1. Open an issue from the project's **Issues** tab.
2. Click **Create ticket** in the issue header. If more than one tracker is connected, or none is, the button becomes a menu - pick ClickUp.
3. Adjust the task in the dialog: title, Space and List, status, priority, assignee, and due date. Statuses and assignees come from the List you picked.
4. The task id appears in the header and links to ClickUp.

Each issue links to at most one task - exporting again is prevented, and the existing task is surfaced instead. Severity maps to ClickUp priority: severity 5 becomes Urgent, 4 High, 3 Normal, and 1 or 2 Low; issues without a severity get no priority. You can always pick another in the dialog.

## Disconnecting

**Disconnect ClickUp** in the project's integration settings unlinks the project and removes the stored connection once no other project uses it. Already-created tasks are unaffected. You can also remove TesterArmy from your ClickUp Workspace's app settings at any time; exports then fail with a prompt to reconnect, since ClickUp tokens never expire on their own.
